RNs, LPNs and Care Aides

Registered Nurses are on duty at the Care Home 24 hours a day, assisted by Licensed Practical Nurses and trained and qualified Care Aides, all committed to providing a high level of care, support and assistance. Languages spoken are primarily English plus we have staff who can speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Punjabi and Tagalog.

Our Resident Care staff are responsible to ensure resident’s day-to-day needs are met.

Support Workers

Our experienced support workers provide food services, laundry, maintenance and housekeeping. In the new Care Home, laundry and kitchen are located on the main floor with a dedicated service elevator. The Food Services department operates in a state-of-the-art kitchen which is managed by an experienced member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Managers, the Pacific Society of Nutrition Managers and holds a certificate in Nutrition Science from Stanford University. A Korean cook provides meals for our Korean Canadian seniors on the 2nd floor who are thankful for the familiar and distinct cuisine. In addition, New Vista has a Registered Dietitian to work in tandem with the manager and clinical team.

Therapy Professionals

Professionally trained therapeutic service providers are also contracted by the New Vista Care Home to help in providing a wide range of supplementary programs and services for residents including, Music Therapy and Strength Training.
