Margaret Koster Residence Welcomes Its First Residents
New Vista’s newest affordable housing community brings 53 homes for seniors and families to Burnaby
Margaret Koster Residence is now welcoming residents, marking an important milestone for New Vista Society and the addition of 53 new homes for seniors and families in Burnaby.
“Seeing people move in and begin making this building their home is what this project has always been about,” said Darin Froese, CEO of New Vista Society. “We’re very proud to add 53 much-needed affordable homes in Burnaby, and especially proud to have Margaret Koster’s name on the building.”
Operated by New Vista Society, the new residence expands the availability of affordable housing in the community and provides residents with a place to call home while remaining connected to the neighbourhood and city around them.
The building is named in honour of Margaret Koster, a long-time New Vista volunteer whose dedication, generosity and commitment to others left a lasting impact on the organization and its community. Naming the residence in her honour is a fitting way to recognize that legacy for generations to come.
With residents now moving in, Margaret Koster Residence begins its next chapter as a new community within New Vista.

Margaret Koster is a long-time volunteer in the the community.
