Paul McDonell Residence
ABOUT THE BUILDINg
The Paul McDonell Residence provides 125 units of affordable rental housing and features: 22 bachelor apartments; 50 one-bedroom apartments; 42 two-bedroom apartments; and 11 three-bedroom apartments. The building was developed, in partnership with BC Housing, to provide housing to people with a low to moderate income.
Paul McDonell Residence is a 14 story concrete high rise located a five minute walk from Metrotown in Burnaby and 10 minute walk from beautiful Central Park, a 90-hectare urban park that offers; a Pitch and Put Golf Course, a baseball field, an outdoor pool, children’s play areas, forested trails and duck ponds. Schools in the area include:
- Elementary: K – 7 Maywood Community
- Secondary: 8 – 12 Burnaby South Secondary
- Early French Immersion: K – 7 Marlborough Elementary
- Secondary French Immersion: 8 – 12 Moscrop Secondary
Housing at the Paul McDonell Residence is based on a variety of criteria and an application is required. The Paul McDonell Residence does not offer rent subsidy. Applications do not guarantee tenancy. It is impossible to predict how quickly an apartment will become available as availability is based on the number of apartment turnovers and the needs of the applicants applying for housing.
This is a NO SMOKING, NO VAPING, NO PETS building. Limited reserved underground parking is available on site at a reasonable monthly rate.
