Recognizing Our Residential Care Aides on Health Care Assistant Day

Staff gathered to recognize the compassion and commitment of Residential Care Aides who provide daily care and comfort to residents.

New Vista staff gathered to celebrate Health Care Assistant Day and recognize the dedication of our Residential Care Aides (RCAs) — the people who provide hands-on care and daily support to residents in our Burnaby care home.

Coffee, cake, and conversation filled the afternoon as team members came together to honour the compassion and commitment RCAs bring to their work each day.

“RCAs are at the heart of what we do,” said Darin Froese, CEO of New Vista Society. “Their care, patience, and professionalism make an incredible difference in the lives of our residents and their families.”

It was a warm, well-deserved celebration of the staff who embody New Vista’s values of care, respect, and community — every single day.

Health Care Assistant Day is recognized each year in British Columbia to honour the vital role health care assistants play in the province’s care system. These dedicated professionals provide essential personal support, comfort, and companionship to seniors and individuals requiring daily assistance — work that is fundamental to quality of life in long-term care and community settings.
