Recognizing the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women
The New Vista Society recognizes the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women
This day is about remembering those who have experienced gender-based violence and those who we have lost to it. On this day, we remember the 14 engineering students who were murdered at École Polytechnique in Montreal on Dec. 6, 1989, for one reason – they were women.
The New Vista Society is committed help support those who are victims of gender-based, and domestic violence. We encourage for all our employees to support and look out for people experiencing domestic and gender-based violence. Please watch out for each other, speak up and be there when those around us need assistance.
Together, let us take action to promote everyone’s right to be safe, and free from gender-based abuse and domestic violence, and empower women to speak up against harmful behaviours.
