New Vista Volunteers Raise Record-Breaking $24,292 for Alzheimer Society of BC
Dedicated Volunteers Triumph Over Weather to Raise $24,292 for Alzheimer's Support
Despite the cold and heavy rainfall, the dedicated volunteers of New Vista Society showed their unwavering spirit and commitment by raising an astounding $24,292 during this year’s Walk for Alzheimer’s.
The record-breaking total far exceeded the initial fundraising goal of $13,000, providing much-needed support for the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
The New Vista team, the Striders, walked in honour of the 85,000 British Columbians living with Alzheimer’s Disease and other related dementias, many of whom are residents cared for daily by New Vista staff. The community’s collective effort and generosity played a pivotal role in surpassing the fundraising target.
Special recognition goes to the “Fundraising Angels” whose tireless efforts contributed significantly to the success of the campaign:
- Rosa (Main Floor): $625
- Christine & Vilma (2nd Floor): $5,280
- Kimberly & Gertrudes (3rd Floor): $2,514

- Helen V & Shabana (5th Floor): $2,720
- Monica & Prema (6th Floor): $2,257
