Investing in Seniors and Families

With the number of seniors in Burnaby and Metro Vancouver growing exponentially as baby boomers reach retirement, New Vista will invest actively in its facilities, programs and services to create an enriching, caring and safe community where senior can age in place.

Over the next 10 years, New Vista Society will invest as follows:

  1. Build a new complex care residence at the South Burnaby site ($58 million)
  2. Create a new assisted living / independent seniors’ residence at the South Burnaby site ($75 million)
  3. Invest in equipment and amenities that ensure the safety and security of residents ($5 million)
  4. Invest in the maintenance and renewal of existing housing units ($20 million)

As a non-profit and charitable organization committed to excellence and service to seniors, we will require many partners and donors, a long term investment strategy, and operational leadership and foresight.

Income diversity underpinned by our core partnerships with Fraser Health and BC Housing as well as the contributions of residents through rents and user fees is the basis of our operating structure. However, we know that excellence, innovation and high quality care will be the outcome of community partnerships and generous donors.
